AI Disclosure

1. What the AI receptionist does

The AI receptionist is a transparent booking assistant focused on salon appointments, services, pricing, hours, availability, and basic customer service routing. If a caller asks whether it is AI or automated, it answers clearly and can direct the caller to the salon for human help when needed.

  • Greets callers as the salon booking assistant and helps collect booking details.
  • Answers truthfully if a caller asks whether the call is being handled by an automated or AI-powered receptionist.
  • Answers basic salon questions such as hours, location, service options, pricing, and booking rules when that information is available.
  • Collects appointment details such as service, date, time, guest count, name, phone number, and notes.
  • Checks the salon calendar for availability and creates bookings when the salon enables AI booking.
  • Creates call summaries and booking records that authorized salon staff can review.
  • Routes large groups, complicated changes, or human requests to the salon when configured.

2. What the AI receptionist does not do

  • It does not provide medical, legal, financial, emergency, or professional advice.
  • It does not decide salon refunds, employee issues, safety disputes, complaints, or sensitive customer matters.
  • It does not guarantee that every service description, price, time, or appointment detail is perfect.
  • It does not replace the salon owner or staff. Salons should review important bookings and call history.
  • It should not be used to collect information unrelated to salon booking or customer service.

3. How AI call information is used

  • To complete or update appointments requested by the caller.
  • To show the salon call history, summary, and booking outcome.
  • To help the salon understand missed calls, booking requests, customer notes, and follow-up needs.
  • To troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and protect the platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce platform rules.

4. Human review and correction

AI systems can misunderstand names, dates, times, services, accents, background noise, or special requests. Salon staff should review AI bookings and call history, especially for multi-guest appointments, requested nail techs, unusual notes, or customer complaints.

If something looks wrong, the salon can contact the customer, edit the appointment, cancel the booking, or use another correction workflow available in the product.

5. Call information

AI receptionist calls may be recorded and transcribed to help with booking and customer service. SalonCall AI can support a spoken opening disclosure when a salon configures one, but salons are responsible for giving any recording or transcription notice and obtaining any consent required for their own setup.

Calls may be processed for booking, transcription, summary, quality review, support, and salon recordkeeping. If a caller does not want recording or transcription, the caller should end the AI call and contact the salon through another available method.

6. Customer choice

  • Customers can use online booking when available instead of calling the AI receptionist.
  • Customers can ask to speak with a human or contact the salon directly for appointment changes, complex requests, accessibility needs, or concerns.
  • Customers can request access to or correction of personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Salon responsibilities

Salons using SalonCall AI are responsible for configuring accurate service menus, prices, durations, staff, business hours, booking rules, and human fallback instructions.

Salons are also responsible for making sure their use of AI call recording, transcription, appointment notes, and customer information complies with laws that apply to their business.

8. Updates to this disclosure

We may update this AI Disclosure as AI features, legal requirements, or product practices change. The updated date at the top of the page shows when this disclosure was last changed.
